  • And the obvious - build and strengthen muscles.

#7 - Eat Alkalizing foods

Fruits, nuts, legumes and veggies (strive for at least two veggie servings a day.)

  • Alkaline foods helps keep our gut healthy and our body “balanced”.

  • For baking recipes replace flour with a gluten free alternatives (coconut or almond) and replace sugar with coconut sugar, stevia for low glycemic

  • Keep your meals healthy look for recipes that contain, apple cider vinegar, garlic, ginger, horseradish root, onion, habanero peppers, oregano oil, turmeric, echinacea (herb) raw honey and colloidal silver. All these are nature’s most powerful antibiotics and some of them help fight inflammation in the body.

#6 - Eat on a regular schedule (every 4 hours)

Skipping meals are common through the holidays but doing so can lead to overeating later and weight gain. Plus skipping meals slows down your metabolic rate.

#5 - At holiday festivities

  • Socialize away from the food table

  • Use a small plate filling up a small plate is better than filling up a big plate

  • Eat nutritious food first fruits and veggies then grains then animal proteins

#4 - Alcohol

  • Wine is a good option My favorite is FitVine Wine they are gluten free, contain less than 1 gram of sugar per liter, earth friendly and vegan friendly and have low sulfites (which is basically a preservative)

  • Mix drinks - choose liqueurs such as Vodka, Gin or Tequila add fresh ingredients like lime juice or muddled berries

#3 - Bundle up It’s Cold outside

  • Exposed skin can become dry or chapped, wear gloves, use non toxic lip balms and lotions preferably ones that do not contain pararbens and variations of mineral oil. These are toxic to the body.

  • Take warm showers instead of hot - hot water dries out the skin so does turning on the heater so give your skin some extra TLC during the cold months

#2 - Take time to De-stress

  • Mediate

  • Take a mind body workout like Pilates

  • Read a book

  • Find something you enjoy to wind down from the holiday hustle and bustle

#1 - Most Importantly!!!

Enjoy your time making memories with family and friends,

Have fun and Happy Holidays
